Recent Study Shows The Longterm Struggles of Caregivers of the Mentally Ill
The recent study pinpointed key inadequacies of the U.S. health care system facing the mentally ill and their caregivers. Among the findings it showed that many people are unable to access health care services due to the barriers in the way. It also found many families often receive both inaccurate diagnoses and improper treatment for as long as 11 years.
This study shows how important it is for of organizations like the Mental Health Association of South Mississippi. MHAMS will continue working towards alleviating these problems and barriers.
