Homeless Outreach Navigator

Mike Wilson is a Homeless Outreach Navigator for the west Biloxi and Gulfport area. He has been working with Mental Health Association since 2018 and is passionate about helping homeless clients develop and achieve personal goals.  He helps homeless clients transition from a state of homelessness to supportive housing programs.  Through the program, Mike works with the Biloxi Homeless to Housing HUB program with community partners such as Biloxi Police Department, Open Doors Homeless Coalition, Back Bay Mission and Our Lady of Fatima.  Mike’s favorite part of homeless outreach is being a continual source of encouragement and hope for those who need it most.

Mike retired from the United States Air Force in 2014 where he maintained electronic navigational systems.  He has earned a B.A. in Christian Ministry 2017 and a M.A. in Discipleship from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary 2019.  He has also completed Mental Health First Aid, Wellness Recovery Action Planning, and SOAR training since arriving at MHASM.
